When I look at you,
It is as if I am gazing o’er a valley;
And across the horizon
Is a mountain range.
It is beautiful;
It fills me with wonder,
And peace.

When I look at you,
It evokes a nostalgic inspiration for the future;
As I remember where we started
And all the distance we’ve come;
Wistful in imagining
The infinite spectrum
Of possibilities
Of where we could go from here.
Potential energy near bursting with excitement,
Courses through my veins:
Tingles across my skin,
Like pleasurable pinches,
Tickling and nipping as it tantalizes.

When I look at you,
I feel the space
Within my finite flesh
So as to envelop
Our galaxy.

When I look at you,
The wealth of opportunities are endless:
Adventures we could take,
Discovering new
Experiences as we continue
To explore.
Whether near or far
In physical proximity,
I carry you in my heart.
We journey
Internally and externally;
Growing together,
Even when we’re apart.
I see the truth of who you are.

We choose where we go,
And we choose where we stay.
When I look at you,
I know
Everything will be okay.
There is so much we can do!
We get to decide,
And choose the routes we want to ride.
We intentionally select the trajectory we partake.

When I look at you,
I feel the sensation of freedom
Supportive, interdependent agency
Emboldens me to relinquish my complacency.
I’m freed from
Old beliefs that prevented my follow-through.
Reality is what we decide to make.

When I look at you,
All of this is true.
It’s in everything
And nothing
That you do.
It’s just who
You fundamentally are:
Loving, Persistent,
Passionately compassionate,
Genuinely considerate that’s consistent,
Funny, intelligent, exquisite
Realistic and optimistic,
Achingly inspirational
Kind, curious, and clever,
Magnificent and sensational.
I’m delighted you are my partner in life’s endeavor.

When I look at you,
I feel my love renew,
And my hope for humanity, too.
I’m H.M. Loving this view,
When I look at you.
